For the development of dynamic website, whether database design is scientific and reasonable directly affects system security, running speed or even the correctness of system operation. Therefore, through accurate demand analysis, we should choose database reasonably, design database scientifically and create database correctly, which will play a crucial role in the continuous and friendly development of website. Taking the database design and development process of online ordering system as an example, this paper expounds the main steps and methods of database design and development, including the implementation process of requirement analysis, database conceptual structure design, logical structure design and physical design.
